The Time is Now: Embracing Your Infinite Present
NOW is never running out
✨ Age: The Ultimate Scarcity Mindset
It hit me recently that age is the greatest scarcity mindset of them all. Counting years, as if they were grains of sand slowly ticking away the hours and minutes until we eventually run out, is an exhausting way to live. The notion that beauty is a specific type of expression-free smoothness that we must have had somewhere in our twenties is another form of scarcity that I see perpetuated in social media and by the greater beauty industry at large. By the way, young people's faces actually move. By my estimation, almost every product or service marketed as anti-aging well-aging is really designed to freeze you, or ideally, take you back in time. That is if they even really worked.
✨ What If We Stopped Trying to Reverse Time?
If it is true that everything we see on our face in the present is a result of something we did, felt, experienced, or expressed in the past, then what we are really trying to do with any beauty product or service is to create a better and more beautiful future for ourselves and our cells. It is not about reversing and stopping time. What if we stopped thinking about time at all and became deliciously present with what is NOW? NOW is not scarce. Now is never running out. Every season, every minute of your life, is happening right now. Better yet, if you become skilled at enjoying your now, you will have less obsession about the past and the future. This shift is the foundation of a true mind-skin connection.
✨ Reclaiming the Reality of NOW
Remember when you felt you were unhappy with your appearance in high school? Maybe you felt insecure, but when you look back at pictures of yourself now, you realize how perfect and truly radiant you were. Or, you felt awkward and your high school yearbook shows a total babe. NOW is just like that. We cannot go back to how we were, but we can appreciate ourselves right now, and that can change everything that happens after that. What would have changed about your teenage years and subsequent twenties if you knew in your bones how perfect and worthy you were at that time? If we do not take time to delight in ourselves now, chances are we will look back and wish we had. It is a recipe for regret and heavy time.
✨ Let Go of "Heavy Time"
Heavy time is what I call visible aging, regret, judgment, conclusions, and even beliefs. It is anything that has solidified in our reality as real. It is what happens when stress and skin aging are allowed to dictate how we view our reflection. When we practice being here now, we are automatically able to let go of past patterns and heavy time that do not serve us. The future ceases to be something we worry about. Bringing presence and awareness to each moment of our lives allows us to have the experience of time slowing down and becoming more abundant. Scientists are actually beginning to understand this phenomenon, showing how mindfulness and meditation can alter our perception of time.
✨ Return to Your Source
As someone who teaches, mentors, and guides women on how to return to their source as a Superconscious Beauty, this conversation about scarcity and abundance in beauty and time is so crucial. Every moment that you waste wishing you were different, or that you could just stay the same, keeps you locked into your survival self. It keeps you trapped in a toxic, fearful narrative about time. It might just be a simple mindset shift, and it will not cost you anything, but it can absolutely change everything in your world. Dropping into your now, over and over and over again, becomes your Northstar. You get to treasure, cherish, and adore yourself in this ever-expanding moment, for all of time.
I hope you try it.
